About Karin Mullooly

My Training

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods.  I then sought out a scientifically rigorous program that deepened my understanding of how the body functions so I could support the varied and complex cases I was seeing in my practice.  After 3 years, I successfully became a Board Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner from The School of Applied Functional Medicine which allows me to apply what I have learned in a systematic, biochemically sound practice, understanding the whole person down to their individual cell function. With my experience and knowledge, we can create personalized steps to move you toward your vision of health.

There is no one solution or single program that works for everyone.  I work with my clients to identify their unique needs, based on their current lifestyle choices, stressors, and familial history in order to help them make changes that produce real and lasting results. My goal is to educate, inspire, and empower my clients!

About Me

I had my first experience with the power of treating the whole person, with my own son, 16 years ago.  He was a super rambunctious three-year-old, who was speech delayed, considered to be on the spectrum, and was receiving speech and occupational therapy.  I did a lot of research and found a holistic practitioner.  She suggested I remove gluten and food dyes from his diet.  I fully admit I was skeptical, but we had nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Within 24 hours we saw a difference, he was calmer and easier to communicate with.  All his therapists and his teacher noticed a change in him and he started to make great strides in his development.  At the time I didn't understand the science as to why this happened, but I had hope and belief about what was possible.  My son is now on the Dean's list, an engineering student at USC!

I believe in the human body’s ability to heal, given the right environment, necessary nutrients, and mindset. This holistic approach first led me to my experience working with patients as a Certified Hyperbaric Oxygen Operator.  I loved helping clients so much that I decided to further my education and incorporate nutritional support, lifestyle interventions, and patient education.
